What Are Helical Pier Foundations?

Helical piers (also known as helical piles or screw piles) resemble large steel screws with helical load bearing plates. They are designed to penetrate deep into the ground, providing stability to the foundation and the structure built on top. This ensures the foundation remains unaffected by soil heaving, which can otherwise cause sinking, cracking, uneven surfaces, and costly repairs.
